Business Process Management

Every organization has business processes. But, too many organizations rely on outdated procedures, with reliance on paper forms or other manual steps. We offer BPM solutions that help organizations define the steps required to carry out a business task, mapping these definitions to existing processes and then streamlining or improving these processes so that the steps are taken more efficiently.

Document Management

Document management is the process of handling documents in such a way that information can be created, shared, organized and stored efficiently and appropriately.

Data Storage

Businesses often need more space for data storage. Information in the form of e-mails, documents, presentations, databases, graphics, audio files and spreadsheets is the lifeblood of most companies, and the applications that run and protect your business require a lot of disk space. In addition, a number of trends are fuelling our growing hunger for storage:
• Recent government regulations, such as Sarbanes-Oxley, require businesses to maintain and back up a variety of data they might have otherwise deleted.
• For legal reasons, many small businesses are now archiving e-mail messages dating back five or more years.
• The pervasiveness of viruses and spyware requires ever-more vigilant backups--which requires ever-more storage capacity.
• Each new version of a software application or operating system demands more hard-drive real estate than its predecessor.
• The growing need to store large media files, such as video, and make them available to users on a network is generating demand for more sophisticated storage solutions.

Storing information and managing its storage is critical to a company's behind-the-scenes success. Fortunately, there are many options available to businesses for both the actual storage and the location of that storage.

So how do we decide what's best for you? First, we'll want to consider your storage needs in terms of both capacity and physical location. Then we look at the storage options that best fit those needs.

Back-Up

Have you ever lost a lot of really important data? Or have you ever had a moment of panic where you thought you did? Backing up your data regularly mitigates crushing feeling that comes with finding out that all your hard work and treasured memories are gone.

Business data is anything but uniform. Which is why your data protection, backup and recovery solution needs to cover the full range of data sources, file types, storage media and backup modes — from snapshots to streaming.

With all that diversity, the last thing you want is to maintain a separate point solution for each distinct backup and recovery requirement. With our backup and recovery services, you don’t have to. Our integrated, automated data protection approach gives you a single, complete view of all your stored data no matter where it is — on-site or in the cloud.

Back up your databases, files, applications, endpoints and VMs with maximum efficiency according to data type and recovery profile. Integrate hardware snapshots. Optimize storage with duplication. Recover your data rapidly and easily, whenever you need to, and leverage reports to continually improve your backup and recovery processes. Our service eliminates the separate data silos associated with traditional backup, archive and reporting products — in a vendor neutral solution that frees you from lock-in while reducing infrastructure requirements.

Archiving

Over the last several decades, businesses have become even more aware of the need to back up and archive their data as part of their overall business continuity and disaster recovery plans. To protect themselves adequately, businesses must improve how they manage and safeguard their organizational data and records. Good records management includes both backup and archiving.

While backup and archiving are often used interchangeably, it is important to distinguish between the two terms. Backup is used for short term data recovery. Data archiving is used for long-term data retention and regulatory compliance requirements. Archived files can be kept for decades, usually at an offsite location. Recent research has shown that 95% of data is never accessed after six months of creation, but most of this data needs to be maintained for compliance. Additionally, archiving unused data significantly reduces data center costs.

The key to success for any archiving solution is its simplicity, how easy it is to restore the data at a later date. It's important to acknowledge that legal requirements affect different types of data and business sectors in unique ways. The first challenge for an organization is to understand its legal obligations—what are the data retention periods, does the data need to be encrypted or stored in a non-changeable format like WORM (Write Once Read Many).

Many businesses have been slow to react; they are putting their data and businesses at risk. Greater than 50% of SMBs have no documented procedures for protecting data and only 20% regularly encrypt data as it is backed up to tape. So what are the issues?
• The lack of clear responsibility in many IT organizations—is it a storage or security issue?
• Concern over security measures—what's the impact on recovery times?
• Cost—is there a budget?
• Complexity—what technology should be used?

It's important to note that implementing proper procedures and processes for data management (backup, archive and compliance) will actually benefit the organization:
• Reducing IT operating costs overall
• Supporting litigation or avoiding the issue in the first place
• Speeding up investigation of issues

Virtualization

Virtualization refers to technologies designed to provide a layer of abstraction between computer hardware systems and the software running on them. By providing a logical view of computing resources, rather than a physical view, virtualization solutions make it possible to do a couple of very useful things: They can allow you, essentially, to trick your operating systems into thinking that a group of servers is a single pool of computing resources. And they can allow you to run multiple operating systems simultaneously on a single machine.

Virtualization has its roots in partitioning, which divides a single physical server into multiple logical servers. Once the physical server is divided, each logical server can run an operating system and applications independently. Beyond the potentially dramatic cost savings, virtualization can greatly enhance an organization's business agility. Companies that employ clustering, partitioning, workload management and other virtualization techniques to configure groups of servers into reusable pools of resources are better positioned to respond to the changing demands their business places on those resources.

Our team of experts are readily available for assessment and deployment of virtual environments to help organizations utilize their available resources.

Routing and Switching

A business network enables everyone in your company to connect to each other, to customers, to business partners, to important applications and to the Internet. The beauty of a network is that information and applications can be shared and accessed easily by everyone on your team. The way a network operates is to connect computers and peripherals using two pieces of equipment - switches and routers. These two lets the devices connected to your network talk with each other as well as talk to other networks. Routers and switches are the building blocks for all business communications from data to voice and video to wireless access. They can improve a company's bottom line by enabling your company to increase productivity, cut business costs, and improve security and customer service.

Specifically, routers and switches support:
Sharing applications
• Provide staff access to business applications
• Improve employee productivity

Using routing and switching technologies allows your staff, even those located in different locations, to have equal access to all your business applications, information and tools. Keeping everyone connected to the same tools can increase employee productivity. We provide services around procurement, Installation and support of routers and switches.

Video Collaboration

With increasingly fierce competition and rapid internationalization, companies must respond quickly to customer demands. They need lightning-fast decision-making to adapt and video conferencing is an important tool.

• Internationalization requires frequent communication and collaboration between groups around the globe. Travel costs increase all the time so many enterprises turn to video conferencing to help the bottom line.
• Effective communication depends on technological innovation. People require ever-better video conferencing with high quality audio, video, and data sharing.
• Systems must be stable, with backup mechanisms to meet internal requirements. Plus, they must integrate with existing office or service systems to keep costs low and make them easy to use.
• New systems must integrate with existing systems, such as OA and industrial systems, to increase use

Our Video Conferencing Solution services help meet those challenges and more.
• Run efficient video conferences with voice dialing, SiteCall, one-tap conferences, wireless presentation, and wireless microphones
• Maximize return on investment and get excellent network adaptability with multiple data connection types including IP, E1, ISDN, and 20% packet loss concealment
• Use APIs to maximize return on investment and easily interface with Microsoft Lync®, IBM Sametime®, and Skype™.

Unified Communication

When tools are integrated into a system which allows easy flow of communication among devices, it is called unified communications and collaboration.

Just as a line is the shortest distance between two points, unified communications allow businesses to make the fastest possible decisions and transactions. UCC allows users to communicate in whatever manner best suits their needs or situation. And the individual tools are interconnected so that access is streamlined and efficient.

We offer industry-leading unified communication solutions for businesses of all sizes. All of our voice solutions services can be expanded into full, feature-rich UCC solutions.
